USES 

Ethylmercaptan is a volatile and harmful liquid with a strong odour, highly flammable and dangerous for the environment.

- Ethylmercaptan is a thioethylation agent used to manufacture numerous organic compounds, mainly pesticides, such

as ethylthio-carbamates, thiophosphates, aromatic thioethylated compounds.

- Alone or blended with other organic sulphur compounds, ethylmercaptan is used as an odorant for liquefied

petroleum gas and natural gas. 

 - Olfactory threshold : 0.4 ppb.

SOLUBILITY
